Common questions

What is the difference between green and kiln-dried lumber?

Green lumber is freshly sawn and still holds the moisture it had in the tree. Kiln-dried lumber has been dried in a kiln so it is more stable for finished work. Tell us how you plan to use it and we will point you to the right one.

Which hardwood species do you have?

Stock changes with what we are sawing. Oak, maple, walnut, cherry and ash are common hardwoods in this region, but call for what is on hand today.

Can I buy mulch or pallet lumber from you?

Yes. Both come from the sawmill. Call with the quantity or sizes you need and we will quote it.

I own woodland. Can you tell me what my timber is worth?

Yes. We offer timber purchasing and appraisals. Contact us with where the land is and what you are thinking about, and we will go from there.

How do I get a price?
